Summer school 2025
The Institute for Archaeo-Metallurgical Studies (IAMS) 2025 summer school took place in Beijing, China, from September 18th to 23rd, 2025, in association with the Institute for Cultural Heritage and History of Science & Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing.
Theme: Archaeometallurgy of East Asia
This week-long event offered an outstanding opportunity for students and early-career researchers to learn from leading international experts in the field of archaeometallurgy. Through lectures, workshops, and discussions, participants delved into the rich metallurgical traditions of East Asia and engaged with current research and methodologies.
The participants ranged from Master’s, PhD, to Postdocs researching in archaeometallurgy, and this offered an excellent opportunity for learning and networking.
Two participants received travel and accommodation support funds to attend the 2025 iams summer school.
