Leadership, Training, and Knowledge Dissemination
In 2002, under Professor Rehren, the IAMS newsletter was transformed into a fully peer-reviewed international journal, broadening access to critical research in archaeo-metallurgy. In 2004, IAMS and UCL were awarded a European Commission Framework Programme 6 (Marie Curie) grant to deliver Early Stage Training for PhD and Masters students in materials science, conservation, and GIS applied to archaeology.
Today, under Professor Rehren’s directorship, IAMS continues to deliver high-impact research, advanced training, and international collaboration, translating sustained investment into enduring scholarly, technical, and cultural value.
