We are pleased to invite you to the upcoming Beno Rothenberg Lecture, which will take place on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the G6 Lecture Theatre at the Institute of Archaeology.
This year, we are honoured to host Dr Siran Liu as our distinguished speaker. While final details of the lecture are still being confirmed, Dr Liu’s research on reconstructing ancient copper production systems in China has made a significant contribution to our understanding of how technological choices were shaped within broader social, economic, and environmental contexts. His work, exploring the relationship between craft production and the development of human civilisations, has greatly advanced archaeological science, and we look forward to hearing his latest findings.
