Meghna Desai is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Cyprus Institute, where she completed her doctoral thesis on Crucible Steel Production in South-Central India. She has worked on a wide range of projects, from prehistoric copper smelting in crucibles to Hellenistic and Roman iron smithing and Medieval brass making to early modern fire assay. She has successfully organised the iams Summer Schools 2024 in Cyprus and 2025 in Beijing, jointly with USTB.
